CELEBRATING DESIGNERS IN THE COMMUNITY!

At Visions Design, we are proud to celebrating designers in the community and highlight some of the creative work and projects by members of the LGBTQ2IA+ community that are committed to helping the community or raising awareness of issues those members face.

Table of Contents

Kris Andrew Small

Kris Andrew Small takes on social issues, mainly supporting the LGBTQ+ community and tackling the Hype-masculine society that he experienced from a young age. Using vibrant, joyful colours, bold typography, and collage, his work draws inspiration from Keith Haring and Jean-Paul Goude. Recently collaborating with Adidas, Kris helped design their 2022 pride collection which represents the individual expression of the LGBTQ+ community.

LGBT without the T

In response to a rise in transphobia, the Gay Times launched a campaign called LGBT without the T. Responding to hate against Trans people and groups calling for the T to be removed from LGBTQ+.  Presenting a range of different texts and messages with the letter T removed. The idea to show how, in every language, removing the T breaks the unity and readability behind each message, just like how the unity will be lost when you remove the T from LGBTQ+. The work was presented at the Gay Times Honours awards along with a voice-over in front of an audience of 1,000+. A film, posters and social posts followed further pushing the campaign to raise awareness of transphobia.
